The Role

We’re looking for a confident, strategic Senior SEO Manager to join us on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a senior, hands-on role shaping our search strategy, evolving our services, and helping future-proof the agency in an AI-driven search environment.

This is not a line-management role, but you’ll work closely with cross-functional delivery teams, guiding strategic direction, ensuring strong operational alignment, and leading capability development across SEO and paid search.

Key Responsibilities

  • Search Strategy Leadership
    • Lead the agency’s SEO strategy across clients, ensuring best-in-class delivery that drives measurable results.
    • Act as a strategic partner to client leads and the delivery team, aligning search strategies with wider performance objectives.
  • Product and Service Development
    • Actively deliver solutions, audits and monthly retained work across a number of our Tier 1 clients. 
    • Define and evolve our search service offering, ensuring it’s competitive, efficient, and forward-thinking.
    • Identify process improvements, tools, and frameworks that drive quality and scalability across search delivery.
  • AI and Search Transformation
    • Guide Noble Performance through the changing landscape of search, particularly how generative AI and platforms like Google SGE are reshaping user behavior and client expectations.
    • Research, test, and help embed new approaches to content, data, and technical SEO to keep the agency at the bleeding edge. .
  • Capacity and Resource Planning
    • Work with project and client services teams to plan team capacity and ensure resources are effectively aligned to demand.
    • Proactively identify bottlenecks or opportunities to streamline workflows.
  • Performance Monitoring & Insight
    • Lead campaign analysis and insight reporting, helping improve how we communicate success internally and externally.
    • Champion a data-first mindset across the team, ensuring all strategic decisions are grounded in performance outcomes.

About You

  • 5+ years in SEO with a strong grasp of strategic search leadership in an agency or high-growth environment.
  • Confident in managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical skills; able to translate data into strategic insight.
  • Comfortable navigating emerging search trends and experimenting with new tools, especially related to AI and automation.
  • Highly organised and commercially aware, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Salary Range

£42,000 – £50,000 (pro rata) dependent on experience.
